When I first started this road to freeing myself, I didn’t have a clue where to start. And for many people, it will be like that. You don’t know what to do or where to go. And it’s OK. Whatever situation you are in right now, you are where you need to be.

That’s the first step to the journey: ‘Accept who and where you are.’

I spent the next six months gorging myself with seminars after seminars. I flew from Melbourne to Perth for a weekend wealth seminar without knowing where I’d stay or do for transportation because I’ve never been to Perth nor did I know anybody there. I became a ferocious seminar junkie and tried to absorb as much as I could. Then I ran out of money and had to look for a job.

I decided that I needed a job that would allow me to focus on my self-development and pay the bills. So I took up a job as a casual in retail. I’ve always hated sales (but I always loved fashion) because it meant that I had to approach people (but can be genuinely passionate about the product). I was forced to push my fear aside and learn how to sell.

Second step to the journey: ‘Learn new skills.’

Then I set out to write a list of books to read. And it varied from motivational to asset accumulation, trading to spiritual. I found as diverse as the subjects may seem, they all had an underlined similarity. They all taught discipline, control over emotions, power in thoughts, faith and love.

Third step to the journey: ‘Read. Immerse yourself in knowledge.’

‘In his audio book ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale suggested to us to find out why is it that there are times in life when we feel lost in power (or faith) in our selves. It would require time and analysis to get to the root of the issue so I paid for an education to learn about me.

I found out why I was the way I am; I saw with certain clarity why I made certain choices in my life; and I understood that I have and always had power and freedom to choose. You may say, ‘I know that too!’ Well, that’s the thing, nothing in life is a secret. We already know how to be rich and how to be successful but do you see any more lean, healthy people in the world even though we know the importance in exercise and diet?

Fourth step to the journey: Know your self for you are your worst enemy.

These have been the most amazing twelve months in my life. It has been a choppy, exciting, anxious, frustrating, miraculous, beautiful, enlightening, amazing, inspiring ride. And I grow bigger and bigger every day because I know that each storm that arises makes my soul grow stronger.

There are many more steps still to go but I will assure you that Brainworks Central will be here to support us in every step we make in our exciting journey to freedom.

Look for that enemy and give them a good throttle and be the hero that you are.

With Greatness,

Mable
