Leadership is both science and art. We learn to be a great leader by modeling others and by practicing ourselves. Everybody needs leadership skill because everybody needs to lead his own life. We can study the works of others but we need to decide which one is suitable for us. We need the direction for our life and we can not just follow others. Anthony Robbins gave one of the powerful sentences to demonstrate how important leadership is. This sentence is one of many sentences he uses to teach on how to do the incantation. He said “I will lead, not follow”.Even if you are not a born leader, you must sometime have a circumstance that you need to lead. Actually, everybody has to lead. That is why we call “lead a life”. 1. Leader focuses on goals
Goals are always important for any mission. It is compulsory that the leader for every single group has his goals or group’s goals. Goals will give the clear direction where his group is going to. Without goals, we are going nowhere.

2. Leader does for the sake of his group
Leader sacrifices his own convenience to the group. He should be the first one to take the risk and the last one to enjoy the reward.

The leader of the country in the past led the army. A lot of them are the forefront to confront the enemies. They risked their lives to the group. That is why they were highly respected. Although many leaders in the modern day do the other way around, there are still many leaders who are willing to sacrifice whatever necessary for the sake of his group.

3. Leader has courage
The courage to face uncertainty is one of the greatest resources that leader must have. Everybody has a certain level of fear. Leader also has fear but the he knows how to deal with it. He understands the necessity of having fear and he can use fear to help him achieve his objectives.

4. Leader does not give up
When time is rough, your real self will emerge. The quality of not giving up is necessary for the leader to lead his group to their goals. This is one of the best qualities that leader must have. He needs to understand that all things will not be smooth. He also knows that obstacles are for the test to show who he really is.

5. Leader has vision
As a leader, we have to be able to see what we will face in the future. This is called vision. In order to lead his group, leader need to be able to forecast what will happen and what he can do in order to secure his and his group’s future.
